Before and After

A week ago I photographed the 2010 Board of Directors of the Calgary Stampede. A challenging assignment, in that there were 26 people in the shot, in a space not much bigger than your living room. I used a 6 x 8 foot soft box as a main light that I had to stand right in front of and then 4 smaller 2 x3 soft boxes as fill. A background of only 12 feet wide quickly got covered. Well, after I sent in the selects, they decided to run the final image for an ad two days later. RUSH. I needed to do some serious background swamping - quick. I am not a photoshop expert but needed to find one. So I found a company on line and they were amazing ! They went in and close cropped in and swapped out the messy background I captured in camera and sent back finished press ready files in a matter of hours. The final ad ran in today's Calgary Herald. Next year: Bigger Room.
